Water Damage Successfully Repaired!
A little spackle, a little paint and we’re DONE 🙂
Gratitude all around for the multiple Donors & Volunteers!
The water-damaged ceiling has been beautifully repaired thanks to the A.R.C. Fundraiser donors & wall damage repairs should be complete by this weekend. The wood ceiling was crafted by a local contractor from Bangor who wishes to remain anonymous and the spackle/paint labor for the walls was donated by the Legion Commander and SAL Member “Ricky” working together.
Our Storm Door got repaired too!
The $1288 spent on water damage to the ceiling was less than anticipated. As a result, we were able to spend $150 for the contractor to repair our front storm door as it was ready to fall off. As of July 28th, the remaining balance of our A.R.C. campaign funds are $21.00. The next building project has not yet been decided. Stay tuned! Once we identify our next immediate repair need, we will reach out to share details so you guys know where to direct your donations of time, money, labor, etc.
Do you or someone you know need food/clothes?
Every 3rd Saturday Benders Mennonite Church [975 Benders Church Rd, Pen Argyl] has a Food Pantry and Clothing Closet open to PA Residents from 9am to 11am. Our Commander teamed up with The Veterans Brotherhood in July and had the pleasure of volunteering at the Pantry. It is grocery store style, so bring your own bags. Carts are available to help you shop. Bring your PA License or Valid PA ID card to register at the door upon entry. That’s all you need.
