Our Legion is getting a bath, roof repairs are done & new Veteran program started

The Latest Happenings:

THANK YOU NEW PARTNERS!

Community members have been stepping up in recent weeks to help our Commander Lois repair the Post & create service programs for our Veterans. Grant Construction repaired our roof and has agreed to give us an estimate for the next step; cosmetic repairs of our Event room. CONTRACTORS! WE NEED YOUR ESTIMATES! Want to get your business name out there and help Slate Belt Veterans while you’re at it? Contact Lois [email protected] for a building/project tour.

WE’RE GETTING POWER-WASHED TOO!!

Our application was approved. Back to Glory Blasting will be cleaning the exterior of our building at NO COST to us thanks to Slate Belt Rising and their Funders. And when Lois started a new “Rides 4 Vets (Phone Tree)” program, within 1 week, 5 individual community members already volunteered to be added to the list. Veterans occasionally need help getting to surgical/outpatient procedures as public transportation is not an option. Email us if you too would like to be added as a volunteer driver or have any questions. This Ride Service is available to Legionnaires in the Slate Belt.
